What makes a rocker recliner lean too far back?

the notes above still do not address correcting the poor design.. diagrams might help to give someone an idea of what they are referring to. Also what is the manufacturers recommendations. or is chinese that difficult to translate?

I put a 2x4 under the back legs and this made it perfect.

I'm in the same boat Anna and Sue. My rocker glider leans back way to far without anyone in it also. And I dare not let anyone sit in it. Anyway, there must be some kind of adjustment you can do instead of having to build shims etc. Might need to see if I can find a manufacturer of the mechanism of the glider.

I used carpenters shims on the rocking base of mine. With the recliner rolled onto its front, you can see a quarter moon shaped piece of wood that the recliner rocks on the flat base. from the back. I hammered in a shim on each side and what a WONDERFUL difference. Hope this helps.
