Macallister 484HP mower choke/fuel control wire?

This solid wire cable has detatched itself from the engine lever and I cannot reunite it. Unlike the red "Deadman's handle" cable this one appears to be one piece of very stiff wire.
QUESTIONS: Where can I obtain a replacement or a suitable alternative?
How do I attach it?
