Mend Toshiba 26DL833B Problem Tv

Can my problem with Toshiba 26DL833B be solved?

TV was fine until digital switchover. Now, several times a day when I'm changing channels the screen goes blank and a message flashes up "Service is not Running". Any channel I change to has the same blank screen. Only way I can get the channels back is to turn TV off, then on again. My friend bought the same model/make from the same supplier and she is having the same problem.

I have the same problem which I put to the Toshiba customer engineers. Apparently it needs a firmware update and they are sending me a USB stick with the update.
