Mend Polti Vaporella 1500 Turn Working Continues

Can't turn Steam off on Polti Vaporella 1500 Steam Iron?

I have a Polti Vaporella 1500 Steam Iron. the on / off switch on the iron seems to be working but the steam continues to flow whatever position it is in! Is there a solenoid in the Base that operates the steam valve and if so how do I get to it in order to release or replace it Please?
