Mend Drayton SCR Heating Wireless Boiler

Drayton Wireless SCR?

My fault is different from the normal capacitor issue.
when powered up from switch off red light is flickering on/off all the time, override does not illuminate green light.
can eventually get green light to illuminate by randomly pressing both buttons - boiler will then fire.
Have already replaced capacitor but no change to problem.
Ideas?
