Mend Vax 2000 Changing Switch Change

Changing the switch on my Vax 2000?

My husband has tried to change the switch on our Vax 2000 but did not make a note of how it was wired before removing the old switch. We have two shorter brown wires and two longer black wires and two posts marked 'D' and two marked 'E'. Could anyone please confirm how these should be reconnected? Thanks!
