Changing a hot water tap washer with a combi boiler?
Am I right that I need to turn the boiler off.
Then turn off the water supply
Drain the water from the tap and change the washer.
Turn the water back on.
Switch on the boiler.
I have a Vaillant EcoTec pro 28 boiler I am hoping that when I turn it back on at the switch it will just start working without me needing to light a pilot light.
Thanks! Same boiler - just changed tap washer as per above and all good - no more drips and hot on tap!

You don't have to turn the boiler off. Just turn the cold water supply off at the stop cock. open the hot tap to drain water in the pipes. Change the washer in the normal way. Turn the water on! Job done
