My machine gears (Rod)inside seems to stuck and will not move?

always diffucult to say where to look but i always start at hook to see if any cotton or dirt is trapped there,it take a little patience and logic to find problem and this can only be done by moving handwheel back and fro while observing movement of different parts.can also try spraying with good penetrant oil to see if any improvement.thereafter its best to find good techno before something else break that wasnt broken
