Mend Singer 2010 Machine

How can I fix my Singer 2010 machine?

I replaced feed drive gears on our modle 2010 Singer Sewing machine. The gears are #383273 , feed drive shaft gear and 174488,feed drive shaft driving gear .When put back together the needle will not pick up the bobbin theread. At first the needle hit the bobbin case but I have readjusted that and it still will not pick up the bobbin thread.
