How can I fix my Philips 50" TV Model #50pf7321d/37?

My television will not come on, when I turn it on it clicks as if its about to turn on but nothing happens. I don't get a picture or sound. the green light comes on for a second and then the red light blinks off and on.... How can I fix this without sending my tv out to be repaired?
