grant oil fired boiler?

boiler will not start no light for mains on.
5amp fuse ok socket light on.
controller no light on main control panel
which controls boiler times on off.

on off times was broken no power , had a power surge
may have blown unit ,. fitted new unit now ok.
£140 for unit good start to new year.
