renault trafic 2 ltr dci 2006 model?

my renault started haveing problems by what sounded like it was drawing in air from somewhere.it ran ok but eventualy started total loss of power.it eventualy would not pull at all and when starting from key soundid like it was just running on one cylinder. now it wont start at all. can anyone help? 2 symbols on dash state water in fuel or electrical problem thanks please help bill
