Mend Alarm Not Working

Alarm not working?

I stupidly drilled through what I think is my alarm cable because now my keypad is dead,the wire is under the plaster.how can I repair without replastering and can the cable be joined.

remove the mains power before you open the panel

you will need to cut the wire from the plaster,or,run a new cable to the key pad,and chances are you have blown a fuse too,yes the cable can be joined,just join colour to colour,we would norm just run a new cable,
but you cant be bothered then join the cores and solder each one then wrap in tape
