Mend Sigma S4 Bought Car Remote

Sigma S Series?

Just bought a vehicle which I think is fitted with a Sigma S4 immobiliser (thats the book with the car anyway). No remote fob, was told its just a case of inserting ignition key, waiting a short period and then start engine. Worked 1st time, now immobiliser will not come off. Anybody any ideas before I start ripping this thing out altogether?!!
