Mend Mitsubishi Pajero Help Rear Lift

Can anyone help with the Rear seat problem on my 2010 Mitsubishi Pajero ?

The larger rear seat will fold down but not lift up to stow. How can I activate the mechanism so I can fix the fault or does it have to go to a dealer to be fixed?

The mechanism is triggerred by the act of folding down the seat. I was being too gentle and had not released the mechanism. Being harsher triggers the release.
