Smell of fuel?

if you can smell fuel there is usually a leak! check all pipes for chafing,check tank/sender unit connectionsfor security and make sure metal pipes on same are not corroded. not familiar with your vehicle,but tank may be fitted with a roll over valve,make sure it is working correctly,not forgetting to check fuel filter connections etc.if metal fuel tank might be corroded?
