Mend Ford Fiesta 1300 Endura 1997

ford fiesta 1300 endura 1997 misfiring?

i have a1997 fiesta 1300 ohv endura engine and it has started misfiring and occasionnaly cutting out and theres less power .its starts up ok .....i did add some petrol 2days ago so first option is to run down the tank and fill it up (dodgy petrol?) ..no engine lights have come on and the plugs were replace dl ast year its done 72k miles ..the other option could be electric or fuel injectors ../any ideas as taking it to garage will cost fortune just to put it on the dianostic machine !

thanks ive found out that the coil packs +leads are quite common fault on fords ( like the heater control valves ive had 2 on mine) so ill try one theres a few on ebay ..ill try plugs first then lead + ign coil hopefully they are easy to fit ?...cheers john

you could try a new coil pack/leads,ask at a scrappy for one and if it doesnt cure your problem youre not out of pocket by much
