how to put clip back on rubber seal?

part of the rubber seal on my washing machine has come of, can u show or tell me how to put seal and clip back on. hotpoint first edition . thanks.

you dont say whether it has come off the front panel or the drum, assuming it is the drum start at 12oc position and work downwards to the bottom at left and right, do the same with the retainer, you may need help by somebody holding the retainer for the last few inches, tilt the machine backwards when doing the job
