morphy richards jet steam iron plate not heating up?

my morphy richards jet stream when i plug it in the iron plate itself is not heating up. when i press the steam button it does click as though trying to pull the steam through and the lights are on green on the steam generator, but not lights on the iron itself, can anyone help?
