my 1.7 diesel not starting 2000 model?

Its a 1.7 opel corsa It doesn't have an ecu nor any sensors on the block yes there is diesel coming. I got the timing on lock position and piston on tdc

guessing it is a combo 1.7d,on the block at the rear is an engine ecu and these are bad for burning out,if you remove it,they can be opened up and have a smell or look at the p.c.b for unsoldered joints.I take it you have plenty of diesel up to the injectors and no key/immobiliser problems.
