2006 laguna diesel starting issue?

tried battery all ok when i try to start a beeping noise can be heard under bonnet, tried bypassing starter switch and powering starter direct from battery, it tries to turn but all can be heard is a click like it is jammed

These colder mornings tend to sort out batteries that are nearing the end of their life. If yours is 6 years old it deserves a new battery. At that age your money won't be wasted. Check any instructions in the handbook if you replace the battery yourself.

I presume you have checked all connections including the earth lead.

hi has it just started to do this since its got colder personally i would get your battary checked it sounds like it could be your problem try jump starting it off another car or take the battary off and get it checked at a car shop or garage if the battary is ok it could be your alternater too thats wot i would check first battary then alternator hope this helps
