I discovered that I have the same problem with extreme leakage there on my K 2.45 washer.
At first I thought it might be leaking at the connection of the trigger gun and the high pressure hose, but that is not the problem. The Trigger isn't working correctly, and the leak is there. There are only 4 removable screws on the gun, but there are half a dozen rivets, so it is almost impossible to take it apart. If I drill out the rivets, I may not be able to "refasten" them. At this point, however, since the gun does not work, I think that I will drill them out, see how I can repair the leak, and then figure out how to refasten the rivets (or use screws in their place).
This seems to be a common problem with this Kaercher model, but I doubt that it is possible to get a free repair or replacement of the trigger gun.
I plan on getting back to you with the results of my plan.
