Mend Mira 722 Temperature Turn Water

Mira 722- cartridge not turning?

Hi, replaced my old cartridge with a new one because the temperature control had stuck. Unfortunately the new one is doing the same. Both will turn when the water pressure is off but as soon as i put the pressure back on it is near on impossible to turn. Any ideas what could be wrong.
