Mend Swan WM1000 Washing Machine Drain Problem

washing machine wont drain?

hi, my washing machine wonmt drain out the water. at first it will start as a normal wash and then when it rinses it seems fine but then the washing machine drain sign comes on. it is a swan washing machine. i've openend the front and drained out the water and have checkd the back pipe. which i also cleared but the same problem. the machine does make a sound when the draining is going on. a whirring sound.

A whirring sound could indicate water not getting to pump, check filters, a lot of m/c's have the filter behind the front kick panel, pull it off and look for a thing about 2" diameter, that you can turn, Any water in m/c would come out, some are very stiff to remove
