why does my fisher and paykel ed56 not spin with a load in it?

The fisher and paykel ed56 will not spin when it has a load in it, it will only take very few things.

If it just humms and struggles to spin then the start capacitor is faulty. Replace it. If motor starts but drum does not turn then maybe the belt is loose. Take the back off and have a look. If it has been squeeking or noisy lately when tumbling then maybe the bearing at rear of drum has failed and will have to be replaced.
