Mend Chef Baroness Deluxe Oven Reset Clock

Chef Baroness Deluxe Wall oven timer?

How can I stop the timer working when I reset the clock? It doesn't seem to matter where I set it in the "off" position , the timer still counts down and continues to buzz.
