Why is my WM63 motor arcing ?

Just made my 3rd brush change to a Hotpoint WM63's motor in 8-10 years but its not always spinning and I can hear/smell arcing. Could this be anything other than a worn armature and a new motor ? Can I buy a straight replacement ?
