How can I fix my Hygena APP2440 Cooker Hood?

How can I fix my Hygena APP2440 Cooker Hood. The lights work but the extractor fan doesn't. I am not sure if the problem is with the fan or the control unit. If it is the fan, cannot find a serial no to order replacement fan . How can I fix the item
