Mend Shower Cartridge Water

bristan shower?

I have a Bristan shower don:t know model but can:t get cartridge out as the shower runs cold, but hot water comes into the unit. Tried to undo brass nuts but afraid that they may brake. So can:t get cartridge out to service/ exchange. Any help please.
