Leaking Shower?

After 7 years my Aqualisa Aquavalve 609 Thermastatic shower has started to drip water from between the on off control knob and the temperature control lever assembly. Does anyone know the likely cause, is it a simple o ring that needs to be replaced or the whole cartridge.
