Mend Proline TDV60 Dryer Tumble Fine

my proline TDV60 dryer has just stopped working!?

my proline TDV60 tumble dryer model no 20103457 was working fine then it just stopped working and then i noticed a burning smell coming from it what could be wrong? what should i check i've unplugged it & left it for a couple of hours then tried it again but once i've turned the dial for the time for example 60 mins it just starts smelling of burning but doesn'nt do anything. please help x
