Mend Proline LD 1702W Switch Tv Problem

faulty switch on tv or voltage problem with the connecter?

proline tv model LD 1702W fitted to 12 volt mains connector switches itself off to standby after a few minuetes (occasionally it stays ok for an hour or two).The question being is it receiving fluctuating voltage via the mains connecter or is it a switching fault with the tv?
