Mend Hotpoint 1000 Spin Pump Bearings

hotpoint 1000 does not spin?

washing machine works okay until final spin then it just finishes cycle with water still in it after failing to spin, I manually move the dial to spin, but it still does not spin, I have to keep moving the dial and after several attempts it will then spin,
weve changed the controller, the bearings and have cleaned out the pump.
