Mend Vauxhall Vectra 2lt Turbo Diesel Driving

how do i find fault with the turbo on my vauxhall vectra 2lt diesel?

when driving my vauxhall vectra 2lt turbo diesel estate 2000 type b,it loses power when the speed exceeds 50mph and turbo does not kick in.Have already checked all the pipes to the turbo,what else can i check to try and solve this problem?
