Mend Indesit 1060W Drum Washing Going Full

smoke in drum?

This question is about an Indesit 1060W washing machine which is about 15years old.
After going through the full wash cycle I opened the door
and smoke with what seemed to be an electrical type smell was in the drum.
Any ideas of the possible cause and is it viable to repair?

have the bearings failed.can you lift drum up and down

worth your effort to open up and look at condenser or motor.condensor easy and cheap.motor you will search for replacement but maybe not possible cause of age
