I have an 04 plate diesel vauxhall zafira club EGR VALVE PROBLE NOT SURE?

this blanking plate jobby does not work on cdti engines, and it still throws up eml.

There are a huge number of possible causes, why are you just ASSUMING it's the EGR?
Yes, the EGR could be dirty,common enough problem, and it wont cost much to whip it off, clean it and refit just to check.

However, the dash light is on because the system has detected a faulty or out-of-range sensor or actuator.
Just plug it in to a diagnostic reader and it will pretty much TELL you where the problem is.

purchase an EGR Blanking plate from Vauxhall and after totally cleaning out the EGR Valve, fit the plate to it.. this prevents any dirt and blockage in the EGR Valve and does not affect the car... i had to do it to my dads and i used to work at vauxhall ;-)
