sprinter 311 security?

Hi all, just had unsucessfull attack on my workhorse. Rear door, lock damaged barrell now missing, bought off the shelf shielded hasp and circular lock but struggling for fitting room to avoid vehicle dead locking mechanism. any suggestions to resolve my anxiety without having to sleep in the thing. Thanks.
