Mend Ideal Standard Cistern Lid Off

How do I get my ideal standard cistern lid off?

I can't seem to get the lid off my Ideal standard cistern - pull as I may. Is there a lever or nack to get them off?

If it's a dual button one it could be the same as mine. Press down and hold the large button, wriggle the small one free. Then take out the large button. This should expose a flat head type bolt. Unscrew that and it should come off. :)
