how do I open the alarm box to fit a new battery?

How do I open the alarm box to fit a new battery, I turned the screws on the front through 90deg, but the panel is still tight, I don't want to force anything without knowing. Do the screws have to be burst them replaced?

Did you turn the little slotted things the same colour as the panel?
If so they are covers, pull them out and the screws are behind them.
