Mend Smeg EN 50242 Dishwasher Fix Noise

How can I fix my Smeg dishwasher?

I have a Smeg dishwasher EN 50242.

When I switch it on the lights come on and sounds like it is starting but just makes a 'glug' noise and doesnt start but lights still remain on, any suggestions?
