how can i fix aeg oko favorit dishwasher nr 911 360 252?

The above model is about 8 years old. Built in. Works perfectly.
But the door is becoming very stiff to open and close.
The base casing is showing shiny mark on right hand side. Suggests bottom of door rubbing it . There is also an ominous clunking noise when it is opened and shut?
No obvious signs of distortion. First step how to get the door off?

take wooden door off by removing screws down the inside edge of the inner stainless door.then remove screws that hold metal outer panel on.2 screws on the edge as well
