How can I descale a murphy Richards and a ken wood iron?

Hi, i have got a morphy Richards 12978 and a kenwood g-1123st steam generator iron, both of them have completely stopped giving off any steam at all. I have tried to descale but as no steam is coming out at all, the descaled solution will not come through to the iron. Can anyone please help.
