over heating ldv pilot?

are there any rusty stains on the side of the plastic exspansion tank as these tanks on the pilot have a nasty habit of splitting when the engine gets hot thus allowing coolant to be lost under pressure. also try changing the thermostat as this may be stuck in the closed position. as for the water behind the dash take note of the weather when this happens because these vans let in water through the bulkhead in heavy rain.
