Check your "LOCATION" ie uk .
go to CONTROL PANEL select REGION & LANGUAGE it will be set to something NON UK. Then reboot

if you googel,, (how to change your keyboad from american to english in 10 steps) you will see how to do this, or if somebody has messed around with your pc, you can do a (system restore) to put it back to how it was, googel that too,
