Mend Smeg Oven Timer Element

my smeg oven timer is broken?

my husband replaced the element in our smeg oven. The timer keeps flashing and I can't reset it, so fan won't come on. Have trisd turning power off and on

try knocking the power off to it over night, to power it down, and then try it in the morning,,
