F&P washers don't usually have a lint problem. So I'm a lil concerned that you may have some old material wedged in the outer tank somewhere which is gradually disintergrating.
Get a handyman to take a look at it as it is the easiest washer on the market to dismantle. Nothing more than a philips head screwdriver.
Remove the adgitator cap amd look inside. There is a big wingnut at the bottom. Unscrew it and remove the agitator. Nothing wrapped around the spindle??
