Mend Maytag A510 Washer Water Appliance

Maytag washer model a510 bought in 1982 takes 30 minutes to fill with water?

Maytag washer takes 30 minutes to fill with water. The plumber checked the water lines and pressure and said they were fine, it is the washer's problem. Help?

check the hose at the tap end as they used filters there as well as the solenoid ends and flush the hoses well before refitting , otherwise a new set of valves should cure the problem. listen and see if the filling is starting and stopping as these valves go o/circuit when they get old
