how can ifix my talbot express 2.5 none turbo diesel?

have a1986 camper which i got running then it i think ran out of diesel due to faulty fuel gauge put a gallon in it started for about five sec/s then cut out turned the engine over for about twenty sec/s then she'd struggle to start then cut out we towed her round street same as above started then cut out any help is appreciated

try a new fuel filter and fill it up with clean diesel before fitment,open a couple of injector pipes to get fuel up to them and give it a go
