Mend Rough Start Cleaned

Ironing Surface rough and stick?

A rough patch appears on the ironing surface when you start ironing. I have cleaned twice but this patch appears again few minutes after you start ironing. Can any one suggest a solution?

Hi Mike,
Do you have the iron on too hot a setting for the fabric you are ironing?
Man made fibres melt if the iron is too hot. Try a cooler setting and use a cotton cloth over the garment so the iron does not touch the fabric.
