below inlet manifold on the o/s there is a metal pipe that runs along the back of the engine to the water pump, there are three 8mm bolts that hold the two housings together and two 10mm bolts sercure the pipe to the engine block

thermostats are almost allways near the top of the block, the most common place is on the end of the radiator top hose
